More than 70 THINCers and THINC Fellowship friends joined the online Opening Ceremony on November 19 and launched a whole new year of exchanges and dialogues on such topics as technology, entrepreneurship, science, sustainability, creativity, social welfare, and many more!

Nasrat Khalid (Afghanistan) received this year's Andrew E. Rice Award for Leadership and Innovation by a Young Professional in International Development from the Society for International Development, United States (SID-US).

 

Across his many roles, Nasrat has advocated for access to technology and the importance of innovation, and in 2017, he founded the AseelApp platform, a social impact-focused tech startup that connects artisans in Afghanistan to consumers around the world.

Robert Luo (China) participated as a speaker in Misk Global Forum happening in Saudi Arabia on November 9-10.

 

Misk Global Forum is a global platform for young people in over 150 countries, focused on meeting the challenge of change and helping as many young people as possible around the world realize their potential in the future economy, and to encourage active global citizenship.

Manuel Ntumba (Congo-Togo) was recognized by the German Press Agency dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH as "The Rising Star in Geospatial Intelligence".

 

The German News Agency (dpa) was founded in 1949 and is one of the world’s leading independent news agencies.

 

This November, Manuel was also selected alongside other Young African Leaders to participate in the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI)'s Regional Leadership Program - an initiative of the U.S. Department of State launched in 2010 by President Barack Obama.

On November 23-24, Tobias Bauer (Germany) spoke at Next Block Expo, one of the biggest industry events in Europe bringing founders, investors and blockchain experts together to redefine & discover the future of web3 and shared insights on 'Fundraising and investing in the bear market' alongside esteemed individuals.

Yushi Chen (China) joined the climate fintech section “China's Climate Growth Opportunity: Accelerating action for a net zero” at the ImpactX Summit in Haikou, China, on November 30, delivering a keynote speech and participating in the panel discussion.

Gernot Sümmermann (Germany) will take part in CES Exhibition in Las Vegas from 5th to 8th of January and exhibit his three companies Cynteract, RefresherBoxx and Autak in the Eureka Park.

 

CES is one of the most influential tech events in the world, which for more than 50 years, has been the global stage for innovation.
